Fortrose and Rosemarkie Community Council

Age Scotland Connecting Service

Added on 01 November 2018

The Age Scotland Community Connecting Service is preparing a list of groups and organisations across each of Scotland’s 32 council areas that offer friendship and activities for older people. This is in response to demand from callers for information about opportunites in their local area. They are preparing guides to be made available to Age Scotland Helpline callers on request, and on the Age Scotland website.

Their service aims to tackle loneliness and isolation directly by helpling people access services; to seek to provide valuable support and encouragement over the telephone while people find an opportunity that best suits their interests and needs.

They are keen to include as much information about social groups and activities across Scotland.

If you have any questions or would like further information about the Age Scotland Community Connecting project please do not hesitate to contact them on 0800 12 44 222 or by email: helpline@agescotland.org.uk.
